Digital Markets Act: Unlocking the Potential of Interoperability for Developers and Consumers
The DMA contains several provisions supporting more openness and interoperability for app developers. For example, it imposes obligations on designated ‘gatekeepers’ that, among others, grant developers access to operating system software and hardware features. Moreover, the end users’ experience with installing and uninstalling applications should be easier.

I definitely believe I can leverage these tactics within my entrepreneurial career. All of the advice in this video were tips my English teacher in high school gave me. She would ask me to "paint the picture" and "show don't tell me," essentially I needed to describe a story for the reader or audience, which is something I plan to incorporate into my video pitch. My professors have recommended that I write reports so someone without any engineering background could follow along, which matches the advice in this video. I will use this strategy by making a script for myself and explaining it to people around me of different ages to ensure anyone could understand. Once again, my English teacher in high school would always tell me to make my papers "come full circle," finishing an essay by reiterating a main theme in my introduction.

Of these five tips, my favorite tip has been the emphasis on the story. The story is something in the pitch that is so easily forgotten, and yet it relates so personally with our own human experience. If you look at the tv ads presented these days, you find stories. Whether they are done well or badly is another topic for another day. But every company recognizes the importance of telling a story. A story sticks much easier than random facts. And, stories are naturally easy to understand. Stories do not usually use complicated jargon, which is why they are so valuable in the pitch. We don't have a lot of time before the person listening loses interest and starts zoning out. So we HAVE to hold their interest with a story that hopefully relates the customer to us. Making a simple story that focuses on problem and closes well is the secret to a successful pitch.

These are definitely important points that should be in your "Killer Pitch". This is just an outline though. It should be utilized to formulate a draft. The final product of a pitch involves going back and editing to ensure that you create the best possible pitch. This includes receiving feedback from others. Feedback from your customers is important. It should be tugging on their hearts. It should make the people in your audience feel like they need that product. It should also not push away people that are not in your product's audience. This important because this will draw in new customers to help keep your product growing.

I think the point about treating your product pitch as a story is fantastic and definitely helps me describe my problem I'm solving in a far more unique and intriguing way to the people I talk to. Like Josh said, the "storyfication" of the idea makes it not only easier and more friendly for people on the outside to want to come and listen, but also makes it far easier to realize the larger purpose behind your solution and remain consistent in the way you explain it to others.

The first advice that the presenter had for us is to focus on the problem. He said that even he gets excited about the solution because that is the basis of your creation. Although, the problem is what we are targeting because that is the area that needs a solution. We look at ‘real’ problems. Is the problem worth solving? That is the questions that I keep in my mind. Even on a day to day basis, am I putting my effort and time into certain scenarios that need a solution? That is the focus for me. Solving problems that need a solution.

Patent trolls are one subspecies of human (and I mean SUB-species) that makes some of the things that we did to people back in the medieval ages seem somewhat reasonable. Any mammal, fish, or insect that behaved that way would have been quickly made extinct, and not even David Suzuki would feel bad about it.

Certainly, the laws need to change. I think the tech giants with deep pockets (Google, Microsoft, Apple), etc. need to use their huge patent portfolios and deep pockets to target and take out patent trolls. If they knew that there were financial consequences to their frivolous lawsuits, they might think twice.

Seems to be right about a lot and wrong about a few things. I’ll focus on a couple of the mistakes, since some of the correctness of some of this should be apparent to folks who have worked in tech. Wrong: 1. Super senior / talented people will jump ship to go to a small startup. In fact, the MOST talented, Cream of the Crop people do this, because they a) care less about money if it’s sufficient for their needs, b) care a TON about working with other incredibly people c) are more likely to be prescient about a great company and great ideas. He can equivocate that he covered himself by indicating this was Almost always the case. But he’s wrong. He should have been more precise with his language and said something like: focusing too much on resumes of people who appear to be experienced is a mistake. Spacex has picked up a TON of senior people throughout its history, who joined because they had good taste in companies, ideas, and wanted to build something great with other great people. They would have gone bankrupt without these experienced senior people who took pay cuts, and saved their bacon, because as a startup you’re usually on the ragged edge of bankruptcy. I hope he has the humility to clarify these remarks since then, because he’s wrong. 2. Even musk wouldn’t use his customers emails. Right or wrong, He’d tweet it, and he’d complain about what he sees as the inanity of all sides making mistakes in his option.

I can see myself leveraging these five tactics when it comes to pitching my ideas to someone that was explained in this video. The first tactic was to focus on the problem instead of the solution. I agree that when it comes to pitching an idea it’s difficult to mainly talk about why there’s a problem instead of telling someone multiple ways my ideas can solve it. The second tactic is telling a story. I agree that integrating a story into a pitch idea gives the audience a clear picture on why you came up with the idea and how you will solve the problem. The last tactic I agree with is talking to them like they’re a four-year-old. Keeping your pitch ideas simple will create less confusion and your audience will know exactly what your problem and solution is.

Why is there no legal avenue for going after companies that have as their entire business model, the use of threats of legal action, to generate fear responses and settlement income, as a means of paying for their dead-end no-account living expenses. Oh wait, because lawyers are evil scum who like the world they have wrought.
